ARTUS donates on the occasion of the company’s 10th anniversary
In view of the extensive tree damage caused by drought, storms and bark beetles in recent years, there has been a growing commitment to donations and tree planting campaigns from private individuals and companies. The website of the „Der Wald ruft“ („The forest is calling“) initiative helped with inquiries and support opportunities.
This is how ARTUS GmbH finally became aware of the forest donation project in the Harz district in the summer of 2022. The first reforestation of an area near Plessenburg Castle near Ilsenburg – financed via a crowdfunding campaign – was realized shortly beforehand as a joint action by the forest crisis team of the Harz district, the Harzer Wandernadel and the Harz Tourism Association.
ARTUS Gesellschaft für Brand- und Wasserschadensanierung mbH, a subsidiary of the ARTUS Bautrocknung- und Sanierungsgruppe, is based in Isernhagen and celebrated its 10th anniversary in the fall of 2022. To mark this special occasion, the founder and managing director, Josef Bölle, a long-time lover of resin, called for donations to be collected for further reforestation projects of this kind. No sooner said than done: the anniversary event raised a remarkable total of €3,500. This was ceremoniously handed over today at the Plessenburg forest donation site. The local forest ranger, Lutz Böge, explained the principle of planting on site to everyone involved. The donation will be used to maintain the area and enable replanting. If the funds are not used up, they will be used for the next forest donation projects in the Harz district.
Josef Bölle comments: „My wife and I love the Harz Forest and have been vacationing there for years to relax from the stress of everyday life and enjoy the wonderful nature. My wife, a forester’s daughter, and I were very shocked to see how the forest has changed in recent years. This fundraising campaign is a matter very close to our hearts.“
