Stamp point 44 / Kapitelsberg

The Kapitelsberg (528 m above sea level) towers over the Warme Bode valley between Tanne and Königshütte and is considered Tanne’s local mountain.

The Tanne branch of the Harzklub has built a beautiful shelter on the summit, to which the stamp box is also attached. The rest area is complemented by several benches and a fireplace. In addition, the Harz friends have erected a large metal-clad wooden cross on the mountain and a cast-iron mountain orientation board.

From the summit, you have a wonderful view across the Warme Bode valley to the Wurmberg, the Brocken and the Hohenkamm.

Several hiking trails are signposted from Tanne to this beautiful summit. The Kapitelsberg can be seen from afar thanks to the summit cross and is a perfect place for a hike.
