The Schöneburg viewpoint (441 m above sea level) is located above Altenbrak.
From the Schöneburg you have an excellent view of Altenbrak and the Bode Valley.
The best starting point for a hike is the Bodetal trout farm in Altenbrak. From there, follow the southern route of the Harz Witches« Trail steadily uphill to Schöneburg Castle. You can continue the tour on the Witches« Trail to the Stemberghaus HWN 60, 2 km away.
