Stamp point 74 / Hamburg coat of arms (Teufelsmauer)

The bizarre rock formation (252 m above sea level) is part of the legendary Devil’s Wall between Blankenburg and Timmenrode.

It got its name because the three upright rock spikes are reminiscent of Hamburg’s coat of arms. With its many caves and ledges, this vantage point invites not only young hikers to discover and climb.

The best starting point is the parking lot at the sports field in Timmenrode. From there, you can reach the Hamburg coat of arms via a narrow, signposted path.

You can hike on a circular trail with fantastic views from the Hamburg coat of arms via the Teufelsmauer to HWN 76 Großvaterfelsen. The „Kammweg“ is a special experience for hikers with a head for heights.
