The „Blankenburg Baroque Gardens“ ensemble begins behind the small castle and is part of the „Garden Dreams – Historical Parks in Saxony-Anhalt“ network.

The small pleasure garden with its sandstone figures, fountains, flowerbeds and well-tended hedges was inaugurated in 1718 and is now a popular venue for weddings.
If you go through the door in the city wall at the end of the garden, you enter the terraced garden with its lookout tower, princess tower and tea house. At the end of the garden is the Obere Mühle inn, once the highest mill in the town. The stamp box HWN 78 Baroque Gardens is located at the entrance to the inn.
From here, it is worth climbing up to the Great Castle and continuing the hike past the former stables on the signposted paths to the Luisenburg ruins HWN 77.
