Stamp point 96 / Former stone mill

Das romantische und mystische Steinmühlental befindet sich zwischen Netzkater, Rothesütte und Sülzhayn.

The valley takes its name from the stone mill that was built here in 1756. Only sparse ruins remain of this sawmill and grain mill.

The rocks to the right and left of the valley have been given original names over the years, such as „Owl’s Head“, „Horse“ or „Hercules“.

A good starting point is the hiking parking lot on the Honigberg between Netzkater and Rothesütte. From there, hike along signposted forest paths through the Steinmühlental valley to the stamping point near the fountain known as „Goldborn“.
