The „Hallesche Hütte“ (586 m above sea level) on the Ahrendsberger Klippen is 220 meters above the Oker valley.

The partner club of the local Harzklub branch was Halle an der Saale, which also donated the hut. From the viewing platform on the Ahrendsberg cliffs, you have a great view of the rocky landscape of the Oker Valley.
The Romkerhalle parking lot below the Okertal dam is a good starting point for the ascent. The Jägersteig trail up to the Hallesche Hütte starts directly at the hydroelectric power station and is also signposted by a corresponding sign at the power station. The narrow Jägersteig trail leads through the forest towards Altenau until the cliff path branches off towards the Hallesche Hütte.
You can also shorten the ascent slightly by using the steep ascent branching off from the Jägersteig, but this is only recommended for experienced hikers who are sure-footed. This trail is not suitable for children!
