The Nature Myth Trail is located in the middle of the Harz National Park, not far from Braunlage Youth Hostel.

The Nature Myth Trail is a joint project of the Harz National Park and the Lower Saxony Adult Education Center. The artist team LandArt from Hanover designed the individual stations.
Like legends and fairy tales, myths are part of the oldest cultural heritage of mankind. They provide information about how people thought and felt and how they explained what was happening around them and to them. In myths, our ancestors described the coming into being and passing away of the earth. The focus is on nature as an all-encompassing habitat.
Follow the approx. 4 km long nature myth trail
…a path through the Harz National Park
…a path to knowledge
…a path to interaction
…a path to ourselves
Ten hands-on stations invite you to follow the mythical traces of the relationship between man and nature.
Who is afraid of the evil wolf? Or is it humans who are scary? Do wolves and humans perhaps have much more in common than we realize? What symbolic power does a tree have? And why do the beauty and song of birds enchant us?
Listen to the singing of the Bach nymphs. Let the wishing tree grant you a wish. And find your way to yourself in the labyrinth. We wish you lots of fun.
You can reach the trail from the National Park hiking meeting point at Braunlage Youth Hostel after approx. 750 meters. The stamp box is located directly on the Nature Myth Trail near the romantic Silberteich pond.
