Stamping point 32 / Gasthaus Christianental

Between Agnesberg and Fenstermacherberg in the Nöschenrode district of Wernigerode lies the Christianental, named after Count Christian Ernst, who reigned in the 18th century.

It is home to a family-friendly wildlife park that is open all year round with spacious natural enclosures in picturesque surroundings and an unspoilt tree population. You can see many species of animals typical of the Harz region, such as: Birds of prey, owls, wild cats, raccoons, martens, red deer, fallow deer and wild boar and much more.
In the middle of it all is a modern playground with rustic equipment made from natural materials and a very special charm, in which the themes of nature, the forest and Harz legends play a major role.

At the upper end of the valley is the Waldgasthaus Christianental with cozy guest rooms and a beautiful beer garden. The first restaurant dates back to 1779 and is directly linked to the zoo keeper of the time.

The stamp box is also located directly at the Waldgasthaus.
