Stamping point 89 / Schornsteinberg

The Schornsteinberg (458 m above sea level) is a beautiful vantage point above the Rübeland outdoor pool.

This was the approximately 6‑metre-high masonry end of a charring plant that was destroyed during the Second World War. The approximately 50-metre-long chimney channel, which can be clearly seen from above, was worked into the limestone and covered by slabs.

The path up to the Schornsteinberg starts to the left of the Baumannshöhle cave and leads up a few bends to a meadow. The path continues along the edge of the forest to the viewing point.
